Location of Sighting: St. Helens, Oregon
Date of Sighting: May 15, 2021
Time of Sighting: 10:30 PM PDT
Description: I was out late walking the dog, walking facing north. I saw an object that was a bar of light, not very bright. It was about as bright as a plane light at night. It also appeared to match the size of a plane light. The object’s altitude appeared to be 4,000 to 5,000 feet moving west to east at a steady pace. I couldn’t judge the air speed, but it was moving along a straight line and didn’t appear to vary. I couldn’t see any outline or other visual aspects. I would hazard a guess to the length as about 200 feet. The angle of object in the sky from my perspective may have been around 40 degrees.
Note: The witness could have seen and photographed Star-Link satellites, but the photo and report don’t exactly fit this explanation.
