Large Dark Spherical Craft Descends Into Ocean.

Location of Sighting: San Diego, California
Date of Sighting: December 26, 2021
Time of Sighting: 2:05 PM PST

Description: We were in the church parking lot across from 1995 Illion St. and having coffee as we enjoyed the view across Mission Bay and the Pacific Beach, CA area and out to the Pacific Ocean horizon. We noticed an object, spherical in shape with no lights and only a dark shape. It was a few degrees above the horizon. It appeared to move eastward toward us. The apparent level above the horizon decreased and the object seemed slightly larger and distinct. The size was larger than what a commercial aircraft would be at that distance. As it came closer, it appeared to drop in altitude and then disappeared. Apparently it dropped into the ocean. As a better size estimate, at first we thought it was similar to one of the cruise ships that we have seen off the coast leaving San Diego in recent days. It was smaller than that size as we reflected on the size. It was in view for perhaps five minutes total.
